Extended Family Session

When Jeanne reached out to let me know her family was visiting New Hampshire over the summer, she wanted to capture the entire family! We coordinated to find a date that worked and booked the session. I went over my usual prep steps and sent her my style guide, which helped them choose their outfits.

As the week of our session approached, Jeanne and I were nervous about the weather. It had been a rainy summer here in NH, and rain was forecasted for most of the days they were visiting. Despite our concerns, we decided to stick with our original time and hope for the best. On the day of the session, it was pouring where I live, about an hour and a half from the location. I was hopeful that the storm would either hold off until we were done or clear up before we started. With high hopes, I made my way through storm after storm on the drive there.

I stayed in touch with Jeanne to keep her updated and let her know I'd arrive about 15 minutes early so we could start as soon as possible. Our goal was to capture as many photos as we could before the rain returned.

When I arrived, the family was ready and waiting! Normally, I like to take my time so no one feels rushed, but given the weather, I made an exception and hustled through the session. It was sprinkling when we began, but within a few minutes, the rain stopped, and the sky took on a beautiful pink hue for most of our time together. Despite the tight window, we captured their entire gallery between storms—what luck!

I had such a great time with Jeanne and her family, and this session turned out to be one of my favorite memories from the summer!

As always, I'm here to answer any questions you might have, so feel free to reach out or book your session today!
