Hi there, I'm Emily!
Chances are that you are here because you enjoy my work, so I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you!!! I'm so glad that you're here and I would love to introduce you to who I am, so take a look below!
I look forward to getting to know each other!
First, here are a few fun facts about me!
- Lakes and mountains bring me such JOY!! I could stare at those views all day.
- I love to do yoga...I didn't discover just how much I loved it until later in my adult life, but I love it, in addition to my morning routine!
- I am a Navy brat, so I have lived all over the United States, but was also stationed overseas for a few years in Sicily, Italy (this was absolutely my favorite base to have been stationed at!).
- If I had to pick a favorite dessert, it would be a tough one for me to choose! I think Chocolate chip cookies are among my top choices, but tiramisu and cannoli's both have a special place in my heart!
- Sunsets - I love me a good sky! The more colors, the better!
- Performing - I'm a trained vocalist and love to sing. I love to perform musical theater! A favorite role of mine was Kate/Lucy in "Avenue Q" and one of my latest performances was in, "Gypsy" with ETC in Plymouth, NH. Follow me @EmilyLaRoseVale on instagram for performance updates and more!
My Story
I live in the beautiful state of New Hampshire with my family and I love every second of being in this state! Photography has been a passion of mine since the moment I received my first film camera as a child. I've certainly made a few upgrades to my equipment and investments in my education since then, but I believe I have become the photographer that the middle school version of myself would be in awe of!
I started my business as a side hustle in 2009. I started small, practiced with anyone and everyone who would give me the time of day, and continued to hone in on my craft. I loved what I was doing, but I was doing a little bit of everything; weddings, engagements, families, pets, babies, and so much more, for the better part of a decade.
Fast forward to 2021, when I chose to focus my attention on portrait photography. I can tell you that without a doubt, it was the best decision I could have made for me! Photography brings such joy to my life, and I am thrilled that my career also happens to be one of my favorite creative outlets!
This is quite the journey I have been on over the years, but I must say that I finally feel like I am exactly where I am supposed to be!
