When I found out my friends Jamie and Andy were expecting, I was over the moon for them! What made it even sweeter was that they asked me to capture their family once their little one arrived. Even more special, they live in Connecticut, and I live in New Hampshire, yet they still chose me as their photographer. With so many options closer to home, this meant the world to me!

We discussed possible dates and settled on one a few weeks after their due date. We wanted to make sure our session would fit within the newborn window if their baby arrived early or late, and that my travel plans would work out either way.

As it turned out, Jamie gave birth sooner than expected, and everything fell into place perfectly! I had designed a setup based on the colors and theme they’d selected during our earlier conversations, but we started the session by capturing their new family first. They chose to take these photos on the same property where they got married just a little over a year before. We walked around, photographing the three of them, and then headed to their nearby home for the rest of the session where their two pups joined us!

One special detail you'll notice in their home is the bear featured in some of the images. This bear was made from a sweater that belonged to Andy's late father, which added an emotional and sentimental touch to the session for everyone involved.

Take a look at the photos below for a glimpse of our time together. A huge thank you to my friends for trusting me to capture these precious moments!

As always, I'm here to answer any questions you might have, so feel free to reach out or book your session today!
