Engagement | Ledyard, CT

While I primarily focus on portrait photography these days, I occasionally take on engagements and weddings when the opportunity feels right. My shift in focus began in 2021 when I decided to make portrait photography my main priority. When my sister got engaged in October 2023, I offered to take photos for her and her fiancé, understanding that she might choose a photographer near her home in Indiana or as part of a package with her wedding photographer for her December 2024 wedding.

However, as life got a bit hectic for her towards the end of 2023, the option to use another photographer quickly faded. I was then asked if I'd be willing to capture their engagement photos during our Christmas holiday in Connecticut. I happily obliged, and we ended up taking photos with our parents' home as the backdrop—a place that has been a constant in our lives since 2000. (Fellow military families will understand the significance of maintaining roots in one place for so long.).

We ended up not only walking around our parents property, but also up and down the road, and anywhere in between that might work! As you might be able to tell, we had some fun, there were plenty of laughs (and eye rolls LOL) and caught some memories for them to last a lifetime!
