Esme and her mom found my page online and sent me one of those emails I love—telling me how much they admired my work and that they wanted to book a senior session! They shared some inspiration photos, and after going back and forth, we landed on the perfect location: a property owned by a family friend.

On the day of the session, I checked in to see if we needed to reschedule since it was incredibly foggy where I was. We weren't sure what the weather would be like at the session location, but we decided to take a chance and meet as planned.

When we arrived, the fog was thick, but I knew we had one major advantage—the lighting. It was going to create a soft, smooth, and (as her mom said) ethereal effect. We started with some test shots to see how it would turn out.

After reviewing the first few images, we were all thrilled with the results and decided to keep going. About halfway through, we paused to discuss whether to continue or reschedule. After weighing the options, Esme and her mom chose to stick with it.

In the end, we were so glad we did—the fog added a stunning, unique quality to the photos that made them truly magical!
